Newsletter No 52 | December 2022
Hello,
How are you preparing for the holidays?
My schedule shows that we will take a break in about a week to resume and go full throttle in January, God willing.
It’s been such an exciting past two weeks – holding town hall and consultative meetings with members of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and our people in each of the geopolitical ones. It has been a great experience hearing from people and getting to know how well our government has performed compared to their expectations.
This is the most interesting part of campaigns for me- these town hall meetings where we get to hear directly from our people and get a deeper understanding of how to solve their problems. I thank everyone who could make it to these meetings either to cheer us on or to express their opinions. All the feedback we receive can only make us get better.
And because we believe that you receiving our newsletter are a “geopolitical zone” of your own, we have created this short survey to get your opinion as well. Please take the time, if you can, to answer a few short questions here.
Let me also take this time to say a big thank you to all the volunteers who are part of our door-to-door campaigns. Your passion and zeal are unmatched. This picture says it all.

The excitement has been palpable. From Oyo to Oke-Ogun to Ogbomoso, to Ibarapa and Ibadan, our people are ready for Omituntun 2.0. We have spoken to farmers, artisans, students, teachers, market men and women, business people and professionals. We have listened to them, and we have made notes of how Project 2023-2027 will meet these expectations.
I also know that our people are excitedly waiting for our Omituntun 2.0 roadmap, which will serve as a blueprint for the next four years. Well, I can assure you that on our official state flag-off of campaigns at Igboora on January 7, 2023, we will present to you the Roadmap to Sustainable Development in Oyo State 2023 to 2027, codenamed Omituntun 2.0 Roadmap,
Even though we will be taking a break from consultations, the next two weeks are going to be just as exciting! All roads lead to Saki on December 25, 2022, as I celebrate my birthday.
In my next newsletter, I will share all the books I read this year. After my last book, the biography of Dr Akinwumi Adesina, I have not read any other book. Hopefully, we can end the year 2022 with a new book. We keep our fingers crossed.
Before I go, let me use this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Year 2023 in advance. I pray God’s blessings upon you and yours as we remember the reason for this season. Don’t forget to do good to your neighbour and share whatever you have with those in need.
Talk to you again soon
We’re sharing behind-the-scenes content, interviews, and testimonials all month.
