We will construct the permanent site of the Police Mobile Force Squadron (PMF 72) at Ago Are and increase the number of Police Mobile Force Squadrons in Oyo State from two to five within four years of our tenure.

The Nigeria Police Force 72 mobile force squadron, Ago Are, was constructed and it is in use as of date.  Presently, the 72 PMF is being headed by ACP Richard Jaiye.  A PMF Eleyele is being headed by ACP Hakeem Ajasa.  The present administration is maintaining the squadron on a monthly basis.

In collaboration with the Nigerian Immigration Service, we will continue with the registration of miners in mining communities.

Governor Seyi Makinde appointed a retired Assistant Controller General of Immigration (ACG), Mr Segun Adegoke as Special Adviser, Migration and Homeland Security while Mr Abiodun Oni was appointed as Director General, Oyo State Solid Minerals Development Agency to reduce illegal mining activities in Oyo State.

The government has continued with the registration of miners in the State and in May 2025, a Task Force comprising security operatives from Immigration Service, Nigeria Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Amotekun Operatives and Operation Burst was set up to tackle illegal mining in the State.

We will establish the Peace Building and Conflict Resolution Secretariat and structures at the State and Zonal levels within three years of being re-elected.

The government has set up various mechanisms for conflict resolution in the State:

  • Anti Land Grabbing Agency and Justice Jumoke Aiki is the Chairman of the Agency.
  • Rule of Law Enforcement Authority which is headed by Honourable Justice Aderonke Aderemi (Retired).
  • Oyo State Mobilisation Agency for Socio-Economic Development which is led by Dr Morohunkola Thomas.
  • The Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investments and Cooperatives has also set up a mechanism to address trade grievances.

We will continue to facilitate closer collaboration between Oyo State Amotekun and the Federal security agencies.

Series of meetings were organised by Governor Seyi Makinde between the leadership of Oyo State Amotekun and Federal security agencies, most especially the Commissioner of Police.  This has resulted in synergy between the Police as well as other security agencies and Amotekun Corps.

We will continue to train and retrain Oyo Amotekun corps members to be involved in intelligence gathering at the local level.

The Commandant, Amotekun Corps, Retired Col. Olayanju Olayinka has organised continuous trainings for corps members.

Resource persons such as the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security CP Sunday Babatunde Odukoya (retd), lectured the corps personnel at Emmanuel Alayande University, Oyo on security ethics, and practical duties.

Other resource persons from the University of Ibadan and other security agencies have also delivered lectures to the Amotekun Corps personnel.

We will secure at least eight more entry points into Oyo State by replicating the pilot scheme at Mamu Village within the four years of our tenure.
