There are big opportunities in Oyo State. As an administration, our job is to ensure we create opportunities that will be appealing to the private sector so they can come in, invest in Oyo State and provide employment opportunities for 10% of the population who are presently unemployed, and create more opportunities to attract further investment. Permit me to share with you what these opportunities are and how you can take advantage of them.

One of the first bills I signed as Governor of Oyo State is the Oyo State Financial Crimes Commission Act which domesticates the Economic & Financial Crimes Commission (Establishment) Act 2004. This act addresses the issue of corruption among government officials.


The Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force was set up on March 19, 2020. Since then, we have been receiving daily updates to help us make the best decisions that will cushion the economic and social effects of the coronavirus disease in Oyo State.


Governor Seyi Makinde signed the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency Bill into law on April 14, 2020. The core mandate of this agency is to create Private, Public and Development Organisation Partnerships that will ensure food security in Oyo State
