I look forward to a time where people will think of arbitration first before heading to the courts. We already know that our judicial system is overburdened. The innovative use of the ADR process can reduce the stress on our courts. So that, it is primarily criminal cases that they will adjudicate.

We all know the reputation that civil servants have in the country. Some people even say that all lazy people come to the civil/public service because they don’t have to do any work. But here in Oyo State, we are changing that narrative.
Some people have asked why we need an International Airport so close to Lagos. I have spoken a number of times of how flights are often diverted to Ghana to refuel. We want them to redirect to Ibadan. This airport upgrade project is another way of turning our proximity into economic benefits.

During an election cycle, we heard people waxing lyrical about the oil boom, the 70’s when one Naira was equal to or greater than one Dollar and they promised to bring back that time and for nostalgia, we bought into it.
Historically, our women have been known to be very enterprising. They do not only farm but they also find markets for their produce.
Our administration remains determined to better the lives of the people of Oyo State. And one of the ways we are doing this is through the resuscitation of moribund industries.
We are the Federal Republic of Nigeria. But our federalism exists in name only. Students of political history will tell you that what we have been practising is, in fact, a unitary system of government – where more powers are concentrated in the central government. Another thing that our political theorists will tell you is that by nature, a unitary system of government is better suited for small countries.
