We will institutionalise the recruitment process to be fair and without political interference such that teachers’ replacement will happen half yearly. | In the past year, the recruitment of 14,500 teachers, PWDs inclusive, was undertaken in Oyo State into basic and secondary schools. Out of this, 11,600 teachers have so far resumed work in the schools while the process for the remaining 2.900 teachers to receive employment letter and resume is ongoing. Teacher-students ratio in Oyo State is 1:25, while the UNESCO ratio is 1:30. We will strengthen the workforce through training and upskilling programmes, especially for teachers in rural areas. Odua Investment Foundation (OIF), a non-profit-making arm of the Odua Investment Company Limited, trained 106 students drawn from the Government College Ibadan (GCI) in Coding and Programming Languages. |
We will further explore partnerships with communities and old students’ associations that will see these communities and associations running the schools with the government maintaining oversight of their activities. | In the past year, Queens College, Ibadan has been working on an agreement for the Old Students’ Association to takeover the running of the school while the ministry provides oversight similar to Government College Ibadan (GCI). - The process of scanning and digitising of state survey records to aid online search of survey record is ongoing.
- The office of the Surveyor General has deployed the use of Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) to aid accurate position determination and put an end to encroachment problems associated with processing of C of O.
- Governor Seyi Makinde also approved recruitment of 34 members of staff for the Ministry.

- Facilitation of the release of financial assistance to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) per Batch as meal augmentation to cater for the welfare od corps members posted to Oyo State.
- Training of 500 youth on non–oil exportation processes.
- Initiation/implementation of first Oyo Youth Summit with its theme “Unlocking Youth Potential, Addressing Needs & Fulfilling Dreams” where over 5,000 youths met and deliberated on emerging issues affecting them. Their needs and aspirations were also identified. It involved mentorship sessions where professionals who have excelled in their chosen fields spoke to the youths. Successful individuals in the entertainment industry, oil and gas industry, educational sector, creative artistes, environmentalists, and cultural revivalists, among others, graced the event.
- 400 youths were introduced to agricultural practices for economic engagement and food security.

We will continue to provide educational and welfare support for people with special needs. | Residents of Oyo State with special needs are always incorporated to benefit from the various social welfare interventions of the Ministry the most recent being the Ileya package distributed in the week commencing on 2 June 2025. A total of 3,000 residents of Oyo State with special needs/physically challenged have been granted free health insurance in a collaborative intervention between the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion/Agency for People Living with Disabilities and the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA). Enrollment of beneficiaries is ongoing. Some schools for students with special needs have been identified and recommended for infrastructural and facility upgrades to the Special Adviser to His Excellency on Education Intervention and are to be fixed before the end of this fiscal year. The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion plans to meet with the community of Women Living with Physical Challenges with a view to identifying and meeting their specific needs in H2 2025.
The sole rehabilitation centre owned by the State is one of the facilities identified for infrastructural upgrade including provision of a well-equipped skills acquisition centre. The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has been given the mandate to provide the requisite Bill of Quantities for approval so that work on the upgrade can commence. |

We will provide government support to 100 women-run businesses in Oyo State at the rate of 25 businesses per year. | About 50% of this goal achieved so far through: The Omituntun Back-to-School programme. Free school supplies distributed were produced solely by women-led businesses who were mandated to train 55 indigent women. After the next programme, the 200 indigent women targeted to be trained are projected to be empowered with both equipment and start up cash grants to enable them start their own small-scale businesses. Any Other Achievements
- A total of 10,000 women from the 33 local government areas will benefit from free health insurance provided by the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA). The first batch of 5,000 beneficiaries are in the process of being onboarded by OYSHIA.
- An Agribusiness premised collaboration between the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Psaltry International and the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA) largely sponsored by the Master Card Foundation is in the works. This intervention aims to empower 15,000 indigent women of Oyo State over the course of 2 years including the physically challenged.

We will continue to embark on afforestation and reforestation drives to mitigate the effects of climate change. | 1. The Ministry of Environment inaugurated Clean and Green Club and distributed 30 free tree seedlings each for 100 schools across the State. 2. 100 seedlings of various indigenous tree species were planted inside Secretariat. 3. A total of 422 hectares tree plantation were established between 2019 and 2024 throughout the State. Please specify where the trees were planted |
