Economy

accelerated Development in Agriculture

Strong economies make strong nations. For any nation’s economy to thrive, the component states/regions need to focus on and strengthen their Internally Generated Revenue. Yet, economies do not grow in a vacuum. There must be a targeted focus on sectors where the state enjoys a competitive advantage. It is against this background that the Oyo State Government is leveraging on agribusiness to revamp the economy of the state. Our strategy is to work with private organisations and development agencies (PPDP) to get funding where possible.

Education

There are strong links between the level of education of a community and its growth and development. Having been a product of free eduction system of the Bola Ige administration in the 1980s, I take it as a duty to ensure that no child is left educationally disadvantaged in Oyo State. Through projects and policies, my dream is to ensure free qualitative education in the state.

Healthcare

No society can make progress without adequate provision of healthcare facilities for the citizenry. Both at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels, our plans involve a holistic review of the healthcare system. We are implementing programmes that will ensure affordable healthcare systems is available in all the nooks and crannies of Oyo State.
