As we drive down this road, I am sure you will see the economic impact it has had with the springing up of farm estates on both sides of the road.
You farmers are important to us, we know that you are the custodians of our food security and that is why we must do everything in our power to support you.
Our administration is effectively putting behind us the days when people were scared to visit our public health facilities.
When you think of it, you will see that a good road network serves as the foundation for development in other sectors. For example, we cannot have a thriving tourism industry when the roads are bad. When people think of how much they have to suffer to get to some destinations, they will rather just stay away.
We want all our children to be in school. We want them to have access to quality education. That is why we are not just constructing buildings; the classes are equipped with furniture and we even go a step further to provide our children with textbooks and notebooks.
Looking at this facility, I am reminded of how long we sometimes have to wait to see a vision achieved. When you see something or someone as successful, you may not easily realise how much work has gone into moving from point A to point B. In this particular case, our journey began with the realisation that agriculture has gone beyond simply being a tool for development.
This junction improvement we have done here in Challenge and Felele is just one of the several ways that our administration is keeping its promise to the people of Oyo State. Before now, we have had people endure traffic at this junction for 20- 30 minutes and even more because the road was narrower and then we had transporters taking up a whole lane.

This is the type of project that we envisaged when we created the Road Map to Accelerated Development in Oyo State, 2019-2023. Before we came in, educational infrastructure was in a deplorable state. We would often see pictures of dilapidated schools in Oyo State going viral on the internet. And so, we were determined to change that narrative.
